More About Tiffany Douarnymey

Clinical Interests:

My clinical focus is centered on helping individuals navigate issues such as anxiety, stress management, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, anger management and cultural or identity-related concerns. I regularly utilize skills from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based techniques to help clients manage symptoms and develop effective coping strategies. I am particularly interested in helping clients cultivate emotional regulation, manage stress, and work through life transitions with practical and actionable solutions.

Availability:
During the fall, winter and spring seasons, my afternoon schedule is limited to telehealth sessions. I will have increased availability for in-person sessions during the summer months. We can discuss scheduling options to find a time that works within these parameters.

Clinical Approach:

I take a client-centered approach to therapy, meaning we will work together at your pace while ensuring there is enough structure to guide our sessions effectively. I blend various evidence-based practices, including DBT, mindfulness, relaxation techniques, problem-solving, and solution-focused therapy. I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), psychoeducation and motivational interviewing to create a tailored approach for each client.

My primary goal is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you can process your thoughts and feelings and develop small, actionable plans to implement outside of therapy. I value transparency, and if an issue falls outside of my expertise, I will collaborate with you to identify additional resources or services that may be more beneficial to your specific needs.

Hobbies:

In my personal life, I am fascinated by psychological thrillers and crime documentaries, which not only engage me but also deepen my understanding of human behavior. I also prioritize spending quality time with family and friends, whether through casual get-togethers or exploring new experiences. Self-care is important to me and I take time for regular hair and nail treatments as part of my routine to relax and recharge.
