More About Trevor Schabert
Clinical Interests:
I work with individuals 12 and up experiencing issues of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, anger, low self-esteem, trauma and relational difficulties. I believe the therapeutic relationship is an important part of the process and I make a conscious effort to help clients feel valued and heard throughout the counseling process. I have received certification in Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) techniques, which specializes in delivering evidence-informed services to aid in client’s recovery. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to help individuals process through traumatic experiences. In addition, I am certified to offer Hypnotherapy to manage an array of mental health concerns.
Clinical Approach:
Trevor emphasizes an integrative therapy approach drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, family systems therapy and strength-based approaches.
Hobbies:
I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love being outside as much as I can, when it is nice out. I enjoy all things gardening and watching plants grow. I like building things and most “DIY” projects.
