More About Victoria Fett
Clinical Interests:
I am passionate about working with parents of kids with special needs as I am one too (at least 2 of 3 kids are 2e). My Clinical interests include trauma/PTSD, ADHD, parenting, anxiety, depression, learning disorders, giftedness, 2e, Autism, and self-esteem/confidence. Additionally, I am LGBTQIA+ affirming (however, I am not trained to provide gender affirming care letters) and am welcoming to all people. Currently, I primarily work with individuals aged 8-65.
Clinical Approach:
My educational background is in social work, and therefore, I consider the whole environment/system(s) that my client lives within and how the environment/systems impact them and their mental health. My clinical approach depends on where the client is at and what they need in the moment. It is important to me to build therapeutic rapport with my clients and work with my clients on what they want to get out of therapy to best meet their needs. I ask for my client’s feedback at the end of every session, and I incorporate any feedback given into future sessions to the best of my ability. I typically incorporate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and psychoeducation, but I am also learning more each year and incorporate new therapy modalities/techniques as appropriate. In December 2024, I completed my EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) training and someday hope to be certified in EMDR via EMDRIA.
Hobbies:
When I am not at work, I spend my time with my family/friends, taking walks, reading, listening to music, and watching tv/movies. I also enjoy camping and traveling when I am able.
